Previously, containers had to move to Container Freight Stations (CFS) for sampling, increasing costs and time. Now, an 'on-wheel sampling area' has been established by NSICT (DP World) within the terminal, allowing for sampling directly at the port. This aims to reduce transaction costs and dwell time. Importers must notify terminal operators in advance and pay associated charges. The facility is initially available at NSICT, with plans for expansion to other terminals.
