Mumbai Customs Zone-II: Port Terminal Operators to Accept Electronic Docs for Direct Port Delivery, Discontinue Physical Copies Collection.
The Customs Office at Mumbai Customs Zone-II has announced that Port Terminal Operators should stop collecting physical copies of certain documents, such as the Out of Charge (OOC) copy, delivery orders issued by shipping lines, and proof of payment of stamp duty, for Direct Port Delivery (DPD) at the port terminal. Electronic copies of these documents, transmitted via the ICES system or through email, suffice for container release. Physical copies already collected should be disposed of according to internal procedures. Any issues should be reported to the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner in charge of the DPD Cell.
