<h1>Algeria Suspends Bank Direct Debits for Importing Certain Goods; Compliance Required Under Article 29, Regulation No.07-01.</h1> The Algerian Government, through Notification N.Ref:421/2017, has instructed banks to suspend direct debit instructions for importing certain food products and industrial equipment, including sauces, biscuits, electrical transformers, finished marble, and plumbing products. As per Article 29 of Regulation No.07-01, a pre-authorized bank debit instruction is required for fund transfers and goods clearance. Exporters of these items to Algeria should verify with clients if necessary bank formalities were completed before July 4, 2017. This notice is directed to all IEC holders, trade chambers, and related organizations.
