The Customs Commissionerate with jurisdiction over the export location will handle the Brand Rate fixation. Applications filed before July 1, 2017, with Central Excise will be transferred to the relevant Customs Commissionerate. For exports from multiple locations, the exporter can choose the jurisdiction. The Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs at the Air Cargo Complex, Bengaluru, is designated as the nodal officer to oversee the transition of pending applications. Any issues should be reported to the Commissioner.
