New ICES Module for Container Bonds at Kolkata & Haldia Ports Effective June 1, 2017.
The circular outlines the implementation of the ICES module for managing container bonds at Kolkata and Haldia Ports. Shipping lines and agents must submit a continuity bond for all imported containers, valid until re-export. The bond, termed 'CB', facilitates multiple debits and re-credits. Bond values vary by container type, and the system automatically processes debits upon entry. Loaded containers require additional bonds, while empty containers need bond information filed with the IGM. Approval for container movement is contingent on obtaining an authorized Container Bond Approval Order. The system will be effective from June 1, 2017.
