Customs Allows Direct Port Entry for Factory-Stuffed Refrigerated Containers Without 'Let Export Order' at Mumbai Port.
The Customs Office at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Mumbai, has issued a clarification regarding the export of factory-stuffed refrigerated containers. The notice addresses requests from trade members to allow direct port entry for refrigerated and perishable goods containers without a 'Let Export Order.' Due to inadequate charging facilities at Parking Plazas and increased exports, delays have occurred. As an interim measure, Customs will not require physical entry of refrigerated containers into the Parking Plaza. Instead, upon arrival, containers can approach Customs for registration and processing. This temporary relaxation is effective until further notice, with approval from the Chief Commissioner of Customs.
