of <h1>Self-certified PTA/FTA certificates accepted for customs clearance at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House; originals due in 15 days.</h1> Importers, exporters, and customs brokers are informed that self-certified copies of Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) or Free Trade Agreement (FTA) certificates can be used for customs clearance for Direct Port Delivery (DPD) or Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) clients at the Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House. This decision aims to reduce dwell time and transaction costs. Importers must submit original certificates within 15 days of clearance. A serial number will be issued for the self-certified copy, and failure to provide the original certificate within the specified time will result in a demand notice and further action under the Customs Act 1962.
