of <h1>Mumbai Customs: Manual SIL Debit Required for March 2001, Not Through EDI; Follow New Entry Procedures.</h1> The Customs Office in Mumbai has issued a notice regarding the debit of SIL (Special Import License) on the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Bill of Entry. For March 2001, SIL will not be debited via the EDI system; instead, manual debiting will occur in the Licence Section. Importers and agents are not required to fill the Licence column in Annexure 1. Verification of SIL debit will be noted in the Examination Order, and manual endorsement is necessary on the Bill of Entry. Compliance with these procedures is mandatory for all involved parties.
