Mumbai Customs Updates Export Filing Procedures to Reduce Registration Errors; Effective February 11, 2002.
The Customs Office in Mumbai has announced changes to the procedure for filing export documents under the Indian Customs EDI System-Exports. Exporters and Custom House Agents (CHAs) can now file Annexure-C/C1 details at the Service Centre along with Annexure-A/B details to minimize errors during registration. This change aims to reduce inconvenience caused by errors detected after the shipping bill is printed. The updated procedure, effective from February 11, 2002, allows for amendments to Annexure-C/C1 details at the time of goods registration if initially filed at the Service Centre. Difficulties in implementation should be reported to the System Manager/DC (EDI).
