New Procedure Eases Re-Export of Goods, Eliminates MOT Fees, and Reduces Delays for Importers and Exporters.
The circular outlines a new procedure for the re-export of imported goods that are not cleared for home consumption. It addresses the trade's concerns about double handling, delays, and increased costs due to the current requirement of moving goods under preventive supervision and paying MOT charges. The new procedure eliminates the need for MOT payments by allowing goods to be escorted from the import shed to the export shed within the same Container Freight Station (CFS) by a designated officer. Additionally, if goods were examined upon import, no further examination is required for re-export. This procedure is effective immediately.
