Effective February 1, 2009.</h1> The circular outlines revised examination norms for goods exported under Reward Schemes. Exporters claiming incentives under schemes like Export and Trading House Status, Served from India Scheme, and others must declare their intent on Free Shipping Bills. Examination norms vary based on the Free on Board (FOB) value and destination, with higher scrutiny for shipments to sensitive locations like Dubai and Singapore. If benefits from other schemes are also claimed, the respective norms apply. Exports without claims under Chapter 3 of the Foreign Trade Policy will continue with minimal examination unless specific intelligence suggests otherwise. The changes take effect from February 1, 2009.
