of <h1>CBDT Updates Instruction 6/2016: New Billing Details for Special Public Prosecutors in Income Tax Cases.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has issued modifications to Instruction No. 6/2016 regarding the engagement of Special Public Prosecutors for representing the Income Tax Department in courts. This supersedes previous instructions from 1991 and 1995. The changes include updates to Part B of Proforma 'P4', specifically adding three new rows concerning billing details: the date of judgment, the date of furnishing the certified copy of the judgment, and a deduction clause if the certified copy is delayed. These modifications are to be communicated to all relevant officers, with a Hindi version to follow.
