These include the introduction of electronic messaging for Delivery Orders, mandatory digital signatures for Customs documents, and the establishment of Customs Clearance Facilitation Committees. A Single Window Project facilitates electronic communication between Customs and various regulatory bodies. Customs clearance is now available 24/7 at multiple ports and airports. Deferred duty payment, revamped valuation guidelines, and simplified procedures for temporary imports are introduced. Dispute resolution measures include rationalized penalties, mandatory pre-show cause consultations, and streamlined audit and appeal processes.
