Express Industry Council of India, Bangalore, has been appointed as the Custodian for courier consignments imported or exported through the Express Industry Council of India Courier Terminal at the Air Cargo Complex in Bangalore. This appointment is under Section 45(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, and is subject to the Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009. The custodianship, initially established in 2009, has been extended until March 30, 2020, or until further orders, as per Regulation 10(2) of HCCAR, 2009.
