of <h1>Fresh Onions Now Eligible for 5% Reward Rate Under MEIS Until December 31, 2016, per Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has issued a public notice announcing an addition to Table 2 of Appendix 3B under the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS). The notice specifies that fresh or chilled onions, classified under HS code 07031010, will have a reward rate of 5% under the MEIS. This rate is applicable to exports made until December 31, 2016. The change is made under the authority of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 and is effective immediately.
