of <h1>Deadline Extended for Form-2 Acknowledgments Under Income Declaration Scheme, 2016; Now 30 Days for July Filings.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the deadline for issuing acknowledgments in Form-2 under the Income Declaration Scheme, 2016. Originally, the acknowledgment was to be issued within 15 days from the end of the month in which the declaration was filed. For declarations filed in July 2016, the deadline is now extended to 30 days. This extension aligns with the revised schedule for payment of tax, surcharge, and penalty as per notification No. S.O.2476(E) dated 20.07.2016. Necessary amendments to Form-2 are being made to accommodate these changes.
