of <h1>New Guidelines for Importer Exporter Code: Simplified Application Process and Required Documents Announced by DGFT.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued instructions regarding applications and modifications for Importer Exporter Code (IEC). As per the amended guidelines, applicants need to submit only a copy of the business entity's PAN card and a cancelled cheque or bank certificate, along with a digital photograph. Manual applications will be accepted until March 31, 2016, using the revised format. Pending applications filed under old norms will be processed under new guidelines if necessary. For modifications, relevant documents, like a sale deed or rental agreement, must be uploaded to support changes such as address updates.
