of <h1>Customs Authorizes Cargo Loading from Shriram Jetty for Bangladesh Exports via Inland Water Barges u/s 8.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs (Port), Kolkata, has authorized the loading of all types of cargo, excluding containers, from Shriram Jetty for export to Bangladesh via inland water barges. This decision follows a request from Shriram Industries & Exports Ltd. and concurrence from K.O.P.T. The authorization is granted under section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962, and requires strict adherence to Public Notice No. 50/2003 and related regulations. The Shriram Jetty was previously designated as a 'Custom Area' for unloading imported logs, as per Public Notice No. 76/2003.
