of <h1>Haldia's A.L. Logistics CFS Named 'Customs Area' for Import/Export Operations Under Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Container Freight Station (CFS) complex of M/s A.L. Logistics Pvt. Ltd. in Haldia, West Bengal, is designated as a 'Customs Area' by the Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata, under the Customs Act, 1962. This notification permits the CFS to handle import containers, including receiving, storing, destuffing, examining, and clearing import cargo, as well as managing export cargo operations such as receiving, consolidating, examining, stuffing, sealing, and dispatching containers for export. The CFS covers 25.38 acres and is bounded by a weighbridge, a village, a proposed truck terminal, and a proposed road. Any transport deviations require prior written permission.
