of <h1>Shipbuilding Site in Kattupalli Declared Customs Area for FCL Cargo u/s 8(b) of Customs Act 1962.</h1> The premises of a shipbuilding company in Kattupalli Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District are designated as a Customs Area under Section 8(b) of the Customs Act, 1962. This area, measuring 50,350 square meters, will facilitate the examination and clearance of imported Full Container Load (FCL) cargo and the handling of export cargo under Customs supervision. Specific procedures for managing import and export cargo will be issued separately. The designation takes effect on November 26, 2012, and excludes Less than Container Load (LCL) cargo and passenger's unaccompanied baggage.
