of <h1>TANGEDCO Appointed Custodian for Bulk Cargo at Ennore Port u/s 45(1) of Customs Act, 1962.</h1> Tamilnadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd. (TANGEDCO) has been appointed as the custodian for the import of bulk cargo at Coal Berth 1 and Coal Berth 2 at Ennore Port, as per Public Notice No. 2/2013 dated January 4, 2013. This appointment is under the authority of Section 45(1) of the Customs Act, 1962. TANGEDCO is responsible for managing the cargo until it is cleared for home consumption, warehousing, or transshipment, in compliance with the Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009, and the Customs Act, 1962. The notice takes effect on January 7, 2013.
