of <h1>Online Export Obligation Discharge System Launches for Advance and Duty-Free Import Authorizations from June 1, 2014.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has announced the introduction of an online Export Obligation Discharge Certificate (EODC) and Redemption system for Advance Authorization (AA) and Duty Free Import Authorization (DFIA) effective from June 1, 2014. This change mandates online applications for EODC for physical exports with EDI shipping bills from April 1, 2009, onwards, while non-EDI and deemed exports will continue with manual applications until electronic transmission is feasible. The new system aims to reduce processing time and transaction costs by electronically transmitting EODC/Redemption details to Customs and authorization holders.
