<h1>CBDT Updates DRP Case Allocation in Delhi & Mumbai u/s 144C of Income Tax Act 1961.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued a directive under Section 144C of the Income Tax Act, 1961, superseding a previous order from 2011. This order organizes the Dispute Resolution Panels (DRPs) in Delhi and Mumbai to handle cases based on the starting alphabets of eligible assessees' names. In Delhi, DRP-I covers names starting with A-M, DRP-II handles N-Z (excluding S) and Uttarakhand, and DRP-III deals with S and cases from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and the North West Region. In Mumbai, DRP-I manages A, E, I, K, M; DRP-II covers N, O, Q, R, S, V, W, X, Y, Z; and DRP-III oversees B, C, D, F, G, H, J, L, P, T, U.
