Exporters' direct dispatch of shipping documents up to USD 1 million - AD Category-I banks may regularise; no RBI referral
AD Category-I banks are authorised to regularise exporters dispatching shipping documents directly to the consignee or resident agent for each export shipment up to USD 1 million (or equivalent), subject to full realisation of export proceeds, exporter being a bank customer for at least six months, KYC/AML compliance of the exporter's account, and bank satisfaction as to bonafides; the operative effect is that such direct dispatches need not be referred to the Reserve Bank where conditions are met. Banks may file an STR with FIU-IND in case of doubt; directions for Status Holders and SEZ units remain unchanged. Authority: RBI.
