Due to recent changes, including the withdrawal of deemed credit and SSI exemptions, these entities must now register with Central Excise. To address registration complexities and harassment concerns, a simplified, transparent process has been introduced. Trade associations can assist in collecting applications, which will be processed by a special cell. A new, simpler registration form has been introduced, and PAN-based registration requirements are relaxed. The aim is to minimize departmental interference and facilitate smoother registration.
