of <h1>New SION Entry C-2039: Export 1 MT Silicon (99% Purity), Import 1.05 MT Silicon (94-96% Purity.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has issued an amendment to the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) for engineering products under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09. A new entry, C-2039, has been added to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2004-2009. This entry specifies that for every 1 metric ton of silicon metal with 99% minimum purity exported, 1.05 metric tons of silicon metal with 94-96% purity is allowed for import. These changes are detailed in Annexure 'A' of Public Notice No. 114, issued in the public interest.
