of <h1>50% Fee Reduction for Online Applications with Digital Signatures Starting April 1, 2004; Password Filing Ends Soon.</h1> Effective April 1, 2004, a 50% reduction in application fees will be available only for digitally signed applications submitted online through the DGFT website, with fees paid via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). This follows the E-Commerce initiative announced in Public Notice No. 45/2003. Exporters must obtain a smart card from Safe Scrypt and open an account with HDFC or ICICI Bank. The previous password-based filing option will be discontinued. Exporters are urged to transition to digital signatures and EFT to benefit from the fee reduction, with support from EPCs and FIEO for a smooth transition.
