<h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: 50% Fee Reduction for Electronically Filed Applications; ECOM Password System Ends December 31, 2004.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has issued a public notice modifying the Handbook of Procedures under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09. The amendment specifies that the application fee for electronically filed applications will be 50% of the standard amount, with 'electronically' defined as digitally signed and submitted through the DGFT website, either online or offline. Additionally, the ECOM password-based system will be discontinued after December 31, 2004. These changes are made in the public interest.
