of <h1>India-Nepal Trade Treaty Amended: Extended Import Period for Vegetable Fats, New Quota Set for 2004-05 Imports.</h1> The public notice amends the procedure for importing certain items under the India-Nepal Treaty of Trade signed on March 2, 2003. The amendment extends the import period for vegetable fats (Vanaspati) from Nepal for 2003-04 until September 5, 2004, without lapsing the unutilized quota. For 2004-05, a quota of 100,000 MTs is set for imports from September 6, 2004, to March 5, 2005. The State Trading Corporation will be the sole agency for these imports, maintaining other conditions from the previous notice. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
