of <h1>DGFT Updates Handbook: Faster EOU Approvals, New Proforma for Permissions, R&D Inclusions in Export-Import Policy 2002-2007.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I) under the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007. Changes include revisions to paragraphs 4.2, 4.6, and 27(a) of Appendix 14-I regarding the approval process for Export Oriented Units (EOUs), Electronic Hardware Technology Parks (EHTPs), and Software Technology Parks (STPs). Applications for EOUs, excluding certain service sectors, must be approved within 15 days by the Units Approval Committee. A new appendix provides a proforma for extending the Letter of Permission for EOUs. Amendments also include inserting 'R&D' in specific paragraphs of Appendix 14 II.
