of <h1>DEPB Rates Amended: New Value Cap, Product Description Changes, and Self-Declaration for Exporters Introduced in Export Policy.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has issued amendments to the DEPB rates schedule under the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07. Changes include setting a value cap for engineering products, amending descriptions for various export products across engineering, electronic, and miscellaneous groups, and introducing a new entry for Shellac with a DEPB rate of 12%. An explanatory note allows self-declaration by exporters for eligibility. Ad-hoc DEPB rates are set for paper cones under the chemicals group, applicable for six months and specific to a named firm. These amendments are issued in public interest.
