of <h1>India Updates Export Policy: New Origin Certificate Rules, SEZ Benefits, and Eritrea Trade Status Changes.</h1> The amendment to the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07, introduces several changes. A new paragraph under the India Afghanistan Preferential Trade Agreement allows the Export Inspection Council to issue Certificates of Origin. Additional ports of registration are listed, including Jamnagar and various ICDs and LCSs. Exports to Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are now eligible for DEPB benefits, and applications for DEPB credits for supplies to SEZs must include specific documentation. Eritrea is added to the list of countries eligible for reduced export house status thresholds. These changes aim to streamline trade processes and enhance export benefits.
