<h1>Export Policy Update: Criteria for Newcomers Revised; Changes in Appendices 28A and 35B on Certification Agencies.</h1> Amendments have been made to the provisions concerning newcomers and updates to agencies listed in Appendices 28 A and 35B of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07. Manufacturing companies with a domestic presence are not considered newcomers if they meet specific criteria, including registration with central excise and state sales tax authorities, submission of audited balance sheets, and a minimum investment in plant and machinery of Rs 50 lakhs. Changes in Appendix 28 A include the addition of new ISO 9000 certification agencies, while Appendix 35 B updates the list of agencies authorized to issue non-preferential Certificates of Origin.
