Handbook of Procedures Amended: Soft Copy Required for Applications, New Agri Export Zones Established in India.
The Director General of Foreign Trade has issued amendments to the Handbook of Procedures under the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07. Manual applications must now include a soft copy on a 1.44' floppy disk in MS Word format. For deemed exports, a copy of the invoice or ARE-3, signed by the receiving unit and jurisdictional excise authorities, is required. Additionally, four new Agri Export Zones have been designated: Apples in Himachal Pradesh, Basmati Rice in Punjab, Flowers in Tamil Nadu, and Mangoes in Andhra Pradesh. These changes aim to streamline processes and promote agricultural exports.
