Duty-Free Natural Rubber Imports Banned Despite Standard Input Output Norms; Affects Duty Free Replenishment Certificate Scheme.
The Director General of Foreign Trade has announced an amendment to the Handbook of Procedures for 2002-2007, stating that duty-free imports of natural rubber will not be allowed, despite it being listed as an input in the Standard Input Output Norms for several export products. This restriction also applies to imports under the Duty Free Replenishment Certificate scheme and will remain in effect until further notice. This decision is made in the public interest.
