of <h1>DEPB Rates Amended: New Rates for Steel, Chemicals, and Electronics Products Under Export-Import Policy 1997-2002.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the DEPB (Duty Entitlement Passbook) rates under the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002. Changes include amendments to the DEPB rate list in Appendix 28 A for various product groups. In the Engineering group, rates for forged steel balls and fabricated steel hardware have been specified, while PCB routers have been added. In the Chemicals group, the rate for Reactive Black BA/TA has been adjusted. The Electronics group now includes a rate for quartz analogue wrist watch movements. These amendments are issued in the public interest.
