New Chemical Export Norms Added to Handbook: Includes Hydrocarbons, Paraxylene, Benzene. Valid Until Dec 31, 2001.
The Director General of Foreign Trade has made additions to the Standard Input Output Norms in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997-2002, specifically for chemicals and allied products. New entries from Sl.No.A-2687 to A-2693 have been added, detailing export items such as hydrocarbons, light ends, middle distillates, heavy ends, and specific chemicals like paraxylene, orthoxylene, and benzene. Each entry specifies the quantity of import items allowed, primarily crude oil and relevant catalysts, with CIF value limits set as a percentage of the FOB value of exports. These norms exclude certain petrochemical products and are valid until December 31, 2001.
