of <h1>India Raises Wheat Export Limit to 50 Lakh Metric Tons, Extends Shipment Deadline, Eases Milk Export Conditions.</h1> The export ceiling for wheat for the year 2000-2001 has been increased from 20 lakh metric tons to 50 lakh metric tons. The deadline for shipment and export has been extended to June 30, 2001. This adjustment is in line with recommendations from the Department of Commerce and affects previously specified agencies. For the fiscal year 2001-2002, the export ceiling is set at 50 lakh metric tons. Additionally, the government has removed certain export conditions for milk products, including quantitative ceilings and packing limits.
