of <h1>India Allocates 10,000 Metric Tons of 2000-2001 Sugar for Export to Maldives Under 2001 Trade Agreement.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has allocated a quota of 10,000 metric tons of sugar from the 2000-2001 production season for export to the Maldives. This allocation is made under the Trade Agreement between India and the Maldives for the year 2001. The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is tasked with issuing the necessary Registration-cum-Allocation Certificate to the designated export corporation in New Delhi. This decision, made under the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, aims to facilitate trade and is issued in the public interest.
