Export obligation extension for EPCG licences requires a bank guarantee covering customs duty and interest and licensing approval. Extension of export obligation for EPCG licences is available up to 31.03.2002 if the licence-holder applies by 29.06.2001 to the original licensing authority and submits a Bank Guarantee covering Customs duty proportionate to the unfulfilled obligation plus simple interest at 24% up to 30.09.2002; the BG must be valid to 31.03.2003 and will be forfeited if the extended obligation is not met. Existing qualifying BGs may be relied on with supporting proof; completed exports outside the original period are regularised without BG. No extension where fraud/misrepresentation or adjudication orders exist; adjudication will follow for non-compliance after 29.06.2001.
