of <h1>Government Delays New Excise Control Code (ECC) Number Introduction to February 1, 2000; Updates 1999 Circular.</h1> The government has modified the introduction date for the new Excise Control Code (ECC) number based on the Permanent Account Number (PAN) from January 1, 2000, to February 1, 2000. This change updates the previous instructions outlined in the Board's Circular from November 12, 1999. Relevant trade and field formations should be informed of this adjustment, and acknowledgment of the receipt of this circular is requested.
