of <h1>DGFT Circular: Export House Status Certificate Process for EOUs, SEZs, and STPI Units Clarified by Regional Offices.</h1> The circular clarifies the process for issuing Export House Status Certificates by the Regional Offices of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). According to the Handbook of Procedures, applications must be filed with the jurisdictional Regional Authority or Development Commissioner. However, when export performance of Export Oriented Units (EOUs) or Special Economic Zones (SEZs) is combined with a company or group company in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA), the jurisdictional Regional Authority will handle it. The circular specifies that Regional Offices of DGFT will issue certificates for Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) units, while Development Commissioners will continue to do so for SEZ and EOU units.
