of <h1>DGFT Clarifies Di-Butyl & Di-Octyl Phthalate Imports Classification; Exim Code 29.17 Applies, Not Code 3812.20.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has clarified the classification of Di-Butyl Phthalate and Di-Octyl Phthalate imports under the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for 2002-2007. These substances are specifically covered under Exim Code 29.17 and should not be classified as Phthalate Plasticisers under Exim Code 3812.20. This decision follows consultations with the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals and has been approved by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
