of <h1>Enforcement of Electrical Goods Standards Delayed to 17.08.2003 for Items 143-159 Due to Operational Challenges.</h1> Mandatory standards for the import of certain electrical goods and appliances were established under Notification No. 5 dated 7.4.03. Due to operational challenges highlighted by various associations and importers, the enforcement of these standards for items listed from 143 to 159 will commence after 17.08.2003. Imports made after 7th April 2003 will also be subject to these standards, and customs may clear these consignments during the interim period. This decision has been approved by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
