<h1>India Allocates 29,400 MTs of Sugar for Export to EEC and USA Under Preferential Quotas.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has allocated 29,400 MTs of sugar from the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 Freesale Quota for export under preferential quotas to the EEC and USA. The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority will issue Registration-cum-Allocation Certificates to the designated export agency, Indian Sugar and General Industry Export Import Corporation Ltd. The allocation includes 8,200 MTs of raw sugar for the USA, 11,000 MTs of raw sugar, and 10,200 MTs of white sugar for the EEC. Exports are subject to pre-shipment certification by the Export Inspection Council.
