The circular refers to the Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of any Foreign Security) Regulations, 2000. It instructs authorized dealers to designate specific branches to handle foreign exchange transactions related to overseas direct investment under the relevant regulations. These branches must be reported to the Chief General Manager at the Reserve Bank for record-keeping. The circular is issued under the Foreign Exchange Management Act 1999.
