of <h1>Ministry of Finance Includes High Speed Diesel and Furnace Oil Duties in Duty Drawback Calculations from May 2005.</h1> The circular from the Ministry of Finance addresses the factoring of duty incidence on High Speed Diesel (HSD) and Furnace Oil in the Brand Rates and Special Brand Rates of Duty Drawback under the Customs & Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1995. It acknowledges requests from trade and industry to rebate duties on these fuels under the Drawback Scheme. The Ministry, following recommendations from a committee, has decided to include the duty on HSD/Furnace Oil in the calculation of duty drawbacks for exports from May 5, 2005, onward. Public Notices and Standing Orders will be issued for guidance.
