of <h1>New Accounting Codes for Service Tax on Business Exhibitions, Travel Agents, and More Announced in 2004 Circular.</h1> The circular issued by the Principal Chief Controller of Accounts, New Delhi, on September 19, 2004, outlines the accounting codes for newly introduced and expanded service categories subject to service tax. New services include business exhibition, airport, transport of goods by air, survey and exploration of minerals, opinion poll, intellectual property (excluding copyrights), forward contract, pandal or shamiana, outdoor catering, TV and radio programme production, construction, and travel agents (excluding air/rail). Expanded services cover commission and installation, stock brokers, cable operators, business auxiliary, financial, and tour operators, with corresponding accounting codes provided for each category.
