of <h1>Government Clarifies Duty Drawback Rates for Knitwear; Enforces Correct Date of Application as 7th April 2003.</h1> The circular addresses the revised duty drawback rates for knitwear and knitted garments for 2003-2004, following representations from various industry bodies and the Ministry of Textiles. The government had updated these rates through a notification on 18th September 2003. However, issues have arisen as many field formations are applying the enhanced rates from 18th September instead of the intended date of 7th April 2003. Additionally, outdated EDI directories are causing exporters to file supplementary claims, leading to delays. The circular requests urgent redressal of these issues and the issuance of necessary instructions to relevant field formations.
