of <h1>New Service Tax Heads Introduced for Seven Services Effective July 1, 2003; Includes Accounting Codes for Tax Collection.</h1> The circular from the Ministry of Finance, Central Board of Excise & Customs, details the introduction of new Heads of Accounts under the major head '0044-Service Tax' for seven new services effective from July 1, 2003. These services include Business Auxiliary Services, Commercial Training and Coaching, Commissioning and Installation, Franchise, Internet Cafe, Maintenance and Repair, and Technical Testing and Analysis. Each service is assigned specific accounting codes for tax collection, other receipts, and refund deductions. Commissioners of Central Excise and Customs are requested to inform assessees via a Trade Notice and provide the 8-digit accounting codes.
